Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
MaVis – An International Journal of Intelligent Systems Research is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This statement is based on the principles of transparency and best practice in scholarly publishing and follows guidelines recommended by COPE.
Authors’ Responsibilities
- Submitted manuscripts must be original and not published elsewhere.
- All authors must have significantly contributed to the research.
- Proper citation of sources is mandatory.
- Any conflict of interest must be clearly disclosed.
- Data fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
Editors’ Responsibilities
- Editors evaluate manuscripts based solely on academic merit.
- Confidentiality of submissions is maintained.
- Editors take appropriate action in cases of ethical complaints.
Reviewers’ Responsibilities
- Reviews must be objective and constructive.
- Confidential information obtained during review must not be misused.
- Potential conflicts of interest must be declared.
Plagiarism Policy
All submissions are screened for plagiarism. Manuscripts with similarity exceeding acceptable academic limits (typically 15%) will be rejected.
Retractions and Corrections
If significant errors or ethical issues are identified after publication, MaVis reserves the right to issue corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern as appropriate.
