MaVis

An International Journal of Intelligent Systems Research

Peer Review Process

MaVis follows a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and relevance of published research.

Type of Review

The journal follows a single-blind peer review process, in which reviewers are aware of the authors’ identities, but authors do not know the reviewers.

Members of the editorial leadership do not act as reviewers for their own submissions. All manuscripts are evaluated by independent external reviewers.

Review Workflow

  1. Initial editorial screening for scope and basic quality.
  2. Plagiarism check.
  3. Assignment to at least two independent expert reviewers.
  4. Reviewers submit detailed evaluation reports.
  5. Editorial decision: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.

Review Timeline

The average review period is 6–8 weeks. Authors are informed promptly about the status of their manuscript.

Reviewer Selection

Reviewers are selected based on subject expertise, publication record, and absence of conflicts of interest.

Ethical Assurance

All participants in the peer review process are expected to adhere to ethical guidelines and confidentiality requirements.
